Warmth I began this series of abstract paintings in the summer of 2008. I started by drawing random lines and doodles in my sketchbook. I then applied a sense of design to these lines and changed them to make a pleasing composition. My inspiration for the painting style came from modern artists such as Cezanne and Picasso. For me, these paintings are primarily about color, design, composition, and for the sheer enjoyment of painting. However, everyone I show these to has a different interpretation on what they're about. Many people see figures or parts of figures. Others see them as a representation of nature or spiritual forces. What do you see in them? |
